Budding young photographers have the opportunity to enter their work in the Harpenden heat of Rotary’s country-wide Young Photographer Competition.

The competition is split into three age-defined sections: junior, intermediate and senior. The judges, drawn from Harpenden Photographic Society, have no knowledge of the identities of the competitors.

You’ll need to produce one digital photograph on the theme of “rebuilding”. You can let your imagination run wild, if you want, with interpreting that theme, but make sure the judge is not be left wondering how your photo is an interpretation of the theme “rebuilding”. You’ll be able to help the judge to understand your interpretation with an accompanying sentence.

If you are a winner in the Harpenden heat, then you go through to the National competition, and also get a £25 gift voucher.

The deadline for entries is 18th February 2024.

Junior: Up to and including 10 years old
Intermediate: 11 to 13 years old
Senior: 14 to 17 years old
