Events and Activities

Rotary is committed to service: ‘Service above Self’ has been its motto for more than a century.

Rotary in Harpenden’s slogan ‘Leading the Way in Community Events’ reflects our significant and growing involvement in serving the local community.

Most of our regular events involve young people because they are our future. We organise mock interviews and public speaking competitions to enhance their life skills.

We run a technology tournament to stretch their minds and a young photographers’ competition to broaden the way they see the world about them.

We award those young people who have given more of themselves in the spirit of Rotary’s ‘Service above Self.’
